Dan Romano went to law school to protect people from abuses by powerful government, corporate and insurance interests. He truly believes in his mission as an Attorney for People.

After graduating law school cum laude, Dan served a year as a Prehearing Attorney for the Michigan Court of Appeals. He left the Court to work as a Trial Attorney for a Plaintiff's Personal Injury Law Firm. Dan handled predominantly Auto Negligence cases and gained early experience trying cases. He has handled thousands of cases in his career. No one of similar tenure has more experience in personal injury and police misconduct litigation than Dan.

For eleven years, Dan was with one of the most successful personal injury practices in Michigan, first as an associate and then as a partner. Dan was the partner in Charge of the General Negligence and Police Misconduct sections of the Firm. Two years ago, Dan founded Romano Law.

Dan's experience in Police Misconduct includes a case he tried against Detroit Police Homicide wherein he exposed a custom and practice of arresting and holding innocent homicide witnesses indefinitely and incommunicado. The practice was going on for decades. In addition to securing a multiple six figure verdict for his client, he elicited testimony from the homicide detectives that was used by the FBI and the Justice Department in their case against Detroit Police which led an end to the practice and helped many other victims prove their claims of abuse. Dan and his client were featured nationally in the New York Times, the Boston Globe, the Detroit Free Press and other national papers. Since then, Mr Romano continues to handle high profile police shooting, beating and unlawful arrest cases.

Dan has also settled, tried or otherwise collected millions of dollars for his clients in Police, Auto, Municipal Liability, Civil Rights and Insurance Cases.

Dan has served as an Executive Board Member of the Michigan Trial Lawyers Association (now Michigan Association for Justice). He currently sits as a Case Evaluator for Michigan's three largest Circuit Courts: Wayne, Oakland and Macomb. He is admitted to the United States District Courts for : the Eastern District of Michigan, the Western District of Michigan, and the Southern District of Indiana. He has also successfully argued cases before the United States Court of Appeals. Not only has he handled cases in Michigan, but also Indiana, Ohio, California, Wisconsin and New Jersey.

Dan shares his farm house with his wife Amy and the many Dogs that they have rescued. The Romanos are extremely active in charity and devote a large part of their efforts to animal rescue.

Ultimately his principle concern is for his client. If he feels you have been wronged he will vehemently prosecute your claim because justice is your right and his business.
