Katrina A. Murrel
Katrina A. Murrel received her law degree at Wayne State University Law School (J.D., 1995) and her Bachelor of Arts (Magna Cum Laude) degree from Eastern Michigan University (Communications and Criminal Justice, 1991).
At Wayne State University Law School, Ms. Murrel worked as a Student Attorney and Litigation Supervisor at the Free Legal Aid Clinic in Detroit, Michigan. She served on the Executive Board of the Student Trial Advocacy Program and received a Moot Court Excellence in Brief Writing Award. She also completed an internship for then Chief Judge Julien Abel Cook, Jr. of the United Stated District Court, Eastern District of Michigan.
Since graduating from law school, Ms. Murrel has worked in the field of personal injury, as well as medical malpractice and employment discrimination, with over twelve years experience in police misconduct, civil rights, Michigan no-fault insurance, automobile negligence, and premises liability claims.
Ms. Murrel is licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan and in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
She is also a terrific wife and mother.
